What are wood pellets?
The raw materials are sawdust and/or wood chips, a by-product of the wood processing industry. Wood pellets are an excellent and very clean solid fuel. The ash content with good raw materials is below 0,5%.
The ashes are clean and can be used as fertiliser. Wood pellets form a renewable source of energy and therefore are CO2 neutral. Compared to other bio fuels wood pellets have a higher energy density and have excellent transport and handling capacities. This makes storage, transportation and usage much more easy and therefore cheaper.
The raw materials are mainly dry saw dust and wood chips. Typically soft woods are used.
Why should we use wood pellets?
Wood pellets are a very clean and easy to handle solid fuel. On energy basis the price of wood pellets is very competitive.
